Aveo

The Chevrolet Aveo is a passenger car segment B produced by GM-Daewoo Motors. It was introduced to the market in 2002 and is marketed in 120 countries under five different names. The Aveo has evolved from first generation through two redesigns, has undergone three body styles and five engine configurations - all built on a platform dedicated exclusively. The name Kalos derives from the Greek word kalos (καλός), meaning "beautiful."
Originally designed by Italdesign Giugiaro, the Aveo Kalos derives directly from the concept, first introduced at the Paris Motor Show 2000 and the subsequent development of concepts in the Frankfurt Motor Show 2001 Geneva Auto Show and the 2002 and 2003. During this period of development, GM Daewoo was going through financial difficulties and there was great uncertainty about the future of the company.
